On Saturday, November 12, 2011,The Chatterbox Charities Inc, (a 501 c3 corporation) will be hosting the 2nd annual Turkey Trot.

The purpose of the Turkey Trot is to bring members of the community together for a fun and social activity that will raise funds to benefit children of need in our community.

Unique to our community, The Amazing Turkey Trot is two person (team) Run/Walk/Jog/Trot race over an approximate 6 mile course with “events” along the way. “Events” will be hosted by benefiting charities and will help improve your time, win prizes, and offer additional support for the specific organization hosting the event. Basically, we provide the clues and you choose the route.

TO CONSIDER

Participants might want to bring the following to assist on their voyage; Backpack, $$ pouch, $5 bills, sun screen, map quest, good attitude, ice packs, cell phone, wagon, shopping cart, duct tape, rain gear, live chickens, camera, and snow shoes. Yes, snow shoes, you never know this is a rain, sleet, snow, or shine event!

Run, Walk, Jog or Trot

Each “team” is made up of two participants. To calculate the category in which each team is entered, participants ages are averaged and evenly flighted into one of the three categories; Poults, Jakes and Gobblers.

Awards will be given to the top finishers in each category and prizes will be awarded to the most creatively dressed team!

6:00 Awards and continued fun activities

* a $5 "Tardy" fee will be charged to those that are tardy. This fee will go to the charity of your choice.

Beneficiaries include The Neighbors' Place, The Women's Community, WVLS, Special Olympics WI, and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
