The Neighbors' Place News
New Face on the Place
If you've driven by The Neighbors’ Place on Scott St., you've noticed our new facade.
We've made several improvements which will help the
appearance, but also conserve energy and better utilizate our
space for the food pantry and the household good donations programs.
The project has been made possible through the
generosity of many community organizations. Materials and labor have
been donated by area businesses, contractors and trades.
The main feature is replacement of the large garage
doors and windows which were energy-wasters, according to Neighbors'
Place Director Tom Rau. "The new doors will help us save energy, and
will improve access to our food pantry and donations room," he points
out. "We’re also making changes inside to the locations of the
room, to alleviate congestion."
