The Neighbors' Place Funding

The Neighbors' Place has an annual budget of about $325,000 - just over one fifth of it supported by the United Way of Marathon County.

Donations from individuals, churches, organizations, and businesses, and grants from local and regional foundations and government make up the rest. We receive very little direct government assistance.

We have a small staff, and we depend on hundreds of volunteers who help with our programs. We conduct an annual membership campaign, and benefit from such events as Empty Bowls, sponsored by Kocourek Chevrolet; the Neighbors' Place Golf Event, sponsored by Innoviant; and the Ice Tee Classic.
