Next Ice Tee Classic, set for February, 2008

A new location is chosen for the 2008 Ice Tee Classic! You won’t want to miss the fun being planned in downtown Wausau. Yes…join us on the 400 block for this year’s event. Downtown merchants are warmly welcoming the activity and bustle of excitement as we finalize preparations leading up to Saturday, February 16th!

At least 200 golfers are expected to don winter gear and head out onto the ice and snow to swat tennis balls around a course of novelty holes created by area businesses and organizations. There will be many prizes available – with new additions to the mix!

The Ice Tee Classic is a major fund raiser for The Neighbors’ Place and it gives the community a chance to come out for a rousing good time on a mid-winter weekend.

If you’ve participated in the past, we are looking forward to seeing you again. If you’ve not participated before, be sure to join in the fun! Get a team together and give it a try. Call The Neighbors’ Place at (715) 845-1966 to get involved.

Innoviant Golf Event for The Neighbors' Place August 19-20, 2007

Innoviant’s First Annual Summer Swing Gala and the Fifth Annual Golf Benefit were resounding successes! Through the generosity of many community members, the events raised over $42,000 for The Neighbors’ Place.

More than 100 people attended the Inaugural Summer Swing Gala held at Wausau’s Jefferson Street Inn on Sunday, August 19. Partygoers enjoyed festive music by Unified Soul, delicious appetizers, and danced the night away in the beautifully decorated ballroom. They also bid on twenty-five silent auction packages, many provided by Innoviant employees, and purchased raffle tickets for a Green Bay Packer game.

A cloudy, misting day greeted golfers on Monday, August 20 at the Wausau Country Club, but the weather didn’t diminish their spirits! More than 130 people golfed and participated in entertaining hole events and contests.

Tom Rau, executive director of The Neighbors’ Place, said, “Words fail to express the depth of thanks I want to express. It would not have happened without you. Both events surpassed expectations.” The Neighbors’ Place serves Wausau area families, senior citizens, and youth with emergency relief and programs, such as a food pantry and community garden.
